Nuwan Pradeep Subhasinghe

Project Director

Nuwan Subhasinghe is a peace practitioner and researcher, who graduated with a degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and accomplished his Master's in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies at Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He is the former Co-Coordinator at the National Peace Council of Sri Lanka, Lead consultant at the Resilience Research, Training, Consulting, Senior Program Coordinator at the Walpola Rahula Institute, Sri Lanka and Visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Open University Sri Lanka (Matara Regional Branch). In addition, he has been working with Civil Society Organizations and government bodies such as the Center for Poverty Analysis, Office for National Unity and Reconciliation, People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections, Rights Now- Collective for Democracy on short term assignments. Furthermore, he has completed a Master class on Conflict Transformation of the International Civilian Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding Training Program, offered by the Austrian Study Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution in Stadtschlaining Austria.

LLB (UK), reading Attorney-At-Law at Sri Lankan Law College. Been a part of IYAP since 2017 as a Volunteer. Major interest is on social work, Youth Development and being a social Advocate. For me I always believe “Work for a cause, not for applause”

Chanaka Nugegoda

Over 15 years of Business Management experience, Leadership, Compliance and Training. I have extensive experience working on high visibility projects and programs. I’ve managed and supervised technical and professional development courses for major organizations. Lead, trained, and developed individuals resulting in promotions and career advancement. I’m fearless of challenges, in order to seek new ways of working and better methodologies to create best value with the passion towards training and development.

Suresh Thivviyan

Internship Manager

A result oriented, highly energetic and quick learner, with excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills and a responsible team player with the ability to collaborate and work towards success. I studied at St. Peter’s College and obtained my Diploma in Business English at University of Colombo and my Bachelors of Arts in Humanities and Social Sciences specializing in Politics & International Relations, obtained from the Open University of Sri Lanka. I have previously interned at the Commercial Bank of Ceylon (PLC) and also have gained my experiences, working at the United Nations Country office in Sri Lanka.
