Kandy District

Iroshika Weerasinghe

Iroshika Weerasinghe is a Training Facilitator of the International Youth Alliance for Peace, representing the Kandy district. Iroshika is the Kegalle District’s Ruwanwella Divisional representative to the fifth Sri Lanka Youth Parliament. She is an independent trainer, announcer, youth volunteer and social activist and she is also working with the fields of youth and women empowerment, alcohol and drugs prevention, children and women rights, peacebuilding and democracy, and SDGs. She has completed her Higher National Diploma in English and working to complete a Bachelor of Arts in English (General) External Degree at the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura. She is a former Board Director, District Coordinator, trainer in Youth Action Network (YAN Sri Lanka) Sri Lanka and also, she played the roles of Chairman, Secretary of District and Divisional Federation of Youth Clubs which are under the National Youth Services Council.  

Iroshika’s passion is to create a world fulfilled with freedom and happiness.

Chandi Gamage

Chandi Gamage, who is working as a Training Facilitator for the Kandy district has completed her BA special degree in Archaeology at the University of Ruhuna and completed Human Resource Management. She has been working in the NGO sector and National Youth Service Council as a social worker for several years. She has a keen interest in social and humanitarian work. She believes that IYAP has allowed her to work in a variety of settings and work towards collaborative change.

Batticaloa District

Harshayini Manoharan

Harshayini Manoharan is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP), and an undergraduate of Social Work and Psychology. She has some experience in peace building, human rights activities and mental health advocacy. She is passionate about social and humanitarian work. She believes if we are positive, we’ll see opportunities instead of obstacles.

Galle District

Chamith Jayasuriya is a training facilitator at International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). He is reading his bachelor of Social Studies at Open University of Sri Lanka. Also he has been engaged with several organization past and present, such as Youth Parliament of Sri Lanka, southern youth provincial council, Galle district youth club etc. Dedicating his time as a volunteer helps to enhance youth personality development, youth engagement, leadership, social cohesion and reconciliation.

His passion is continue dedication his time for social activities.

B. M. A. Janitha Shehan

Janitha Shehan, is a young passionate individual from Thawalama, working as the Training Facilitator at IYAP for Galle. He is a final year student in the Department of Geography, University of Sri Jayewardenepura also an emerging social worker who works with the passion of guiding youth and learning from them.

Jaffna District

Dinoja Navarathnarajah

Dinoja Navarathnarajah is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). She is an independent trainer, public speaker, freelance writer and a teacher trainee of Pasdunrata National College of Education (ICT). She has over 03 years of experience in social cohesion and reconciliation, youth empowerment and community services. She is reading for a Bachelor degree in Social and Cultural Studies (OUSL). Dinoja believes training is a medium to change people profoundly on an emotional & mental level, and to help them make some kind of changes in their lives and within themselves.

 

Kobitha Arunthavakumar

Kobitha is reading her bachelor’s degree in science stream. In past years she has participated in youth empowerment programs, social activities and also she serves as a member of a youth action group in CC. With the passion of conducting training in the field of youth, social activities and environmental issues in the community, she has joined IYAP as a Training Facilitator for the Jaffna district. Kobitha strives for enhancing her skills and knowledge as well as expressing her thoughts to encourage the young generation for future development.

Matara District

Tharindu Kavinda

Tharindu Nanayakkarawasam is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). He is an undergraduate who specializes in Peace & Conflict Resolution in the University of Kelaniya. Tharindu believes he values peace and reconciliation and he strives to build them in the community. He is also an active participant in youth and humanitarian activities.

Yuwani Pamodhya

Yuwani Pamodhya is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace. She is also training as a Primary Teacher. She has been engaged in various social service activities.  As a training facilitator, she focuses on sharing her knowledge with others and improving leadership skills and decision-making skills in young people. She is also actively involved in bringing peace and reconciliation in the society representing the Southern Youth Provincial Council and the Matara District Youth Club.

Monaragala District

Dinesh Kavinda

Dinesh Kavinda is a training facilitator at the International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP).  He is currently representing the Youth Parliament and is a Director of the Nisco Co-operative Society in the Monaragala District and is currently pursuing his degree in Sociology from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.  As an active citizen, he has a feeling that he values other people’s democratic rights such as race, religion, culture, rights, dignity and love in order to create a civilized society.

Subodini Weerasinghe

Subodani Weerasinghe  is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). She is an undergraduate who specializes in Peace & Conflict Resolution in University of Kelaniya. Subodani  believes in strengthening peace and reconciliation and she strives to build them in society. She is also an active participant in youth and social activities. 

Mullaitivu District

Deenu Jancy

Deenu Jancy is a Training Facilitator of international youth Alliance for peace ( IYAP) After she finished the Diploma in journalism in Colombo University she has been working in Media for 6 years. She believes that through writing anything can be changed. She likes to function about women rights and environmental related stuff. Now she is pursuing her BA degree at Nawala Open University.

Thaseeha Thasleem

Thaseeha Thasleem has completed her LLB at the University of Wolverhampton and LLM at the University of Colombo. Currently, she is reading her Attorney at Law and PhD in law at the University of Peradeniya. Since her school period, she has participated in many youth workshops which nourished her interest in social works. With her academic background, she’s looking forward to serving the community.

Vavuniya District

Croos Anojan

Croos Anojan is a training facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in B.com CA from Bharathiar University, India. He has completed a Diploma in Human Resource Management in Sri Lanka.

He is interested in helping to ensure the safety, education and healthy living of children in poor villages. He firmly believes that “The foundation of every country is the education of its youth”. 

Sreeharan Kesavan

Kesavan Sreeharan is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). He is also an independent trainer in personality development, leadership and youth engagement. He holds a Bachelor in Business Management from Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka. He is reading for his Masters in Development Studies at Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo and also following National Diploma in Training and Human Resource Development at CIPM. He has 03 years of experience in the public sector. His major interests are in training and development, youth empowerment and sustainable development. Kesavan strongly believes in the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “If you want to change the world, start with yourself.” 

Hambantota District

Pradeep Sandaruwan

Pradeep Sandaruwan is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). He is the Chairman of Youth Federation Council of Ambalantota and also a member of Youth Federation – Hambantota district. He has 11 years experience in youth clubs as a leader. He is an active participant in youth and social activities.

Colombo District

Crystal Fernando

Crystal Fernando is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP). An IVQ Level 3 certified trainer in teaching, training and assessing learning. She is also a social change agent with over 10 years of extensive experience in areas of child wellbeing, youth empowerment, disaster management, peacebuilding and transitional justice process. Her desire is to broaden her knowledge and experience by mastering in the field of peace education to thrive as a peace practitioner and trainer. Crystal is passionate to work with youth and women on conflict transformation to promote social cohesion and development in Sri Lanka.

Anuradhapura District

Izzath Inham

Izzath Inham is a training facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP), and an undergraduate in Bachelors of Social Work. He is also having experiences in the research field, psychiatric social work and worked with diverse communities. He is involved and volunteering in many social work activities in some national organizations also advocating for gender equality, SRHR and committing to promote peace and reconciliation among the Sri Lankan communities. As an active citizen, he values all the humans’ dignity from all diversities. 

Kilinochchi District

Janani Sureshkumar

Janani Sureshkumar is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance of Peace (ITAP) and she is an undergraduate of Social Work in National Institute of Social Development (NISD). She is a Student Social Worker and a passionate volunteer. Janani believes that “Youth are the best change makers in the society”.

Trincomalee District

Sashry Kaniyoon

Sashry Kaniyoon is a Training Facilitator at International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP) and also an undergraduate of University of Kelaniya reading for BICT honours degree program. She really enjoys connecting with individuals and working with other passionate and inspired people to build compassionate, resilient & thriving communities. Sashry also loves to connect and help others in any way she can, as she believes sharing knowledge increases our humanity.

Melroy Emerald

Melroy Emerald is a Training Facilitator of International Youth Alliance for Peace , also the  Founder and CEO of GV Solutions. He is a Social Worker and District Federation Member of National Youth Service Council. He likes to work with youth and also an Active Citizen and Speaker who strives to be a leader. 

Ampara District

Abdul Salam Mohamed Haris

Haris is a Training Facilitator of the International Youth Alliance for Peace representing the Ampara district. He is following his external undergraduate degree in Business Management studies at the Eastern University of Sri Lanka. Besides, Haris works as the District Organizer of the National Youth Service Council and also a youth leader of the National Youth Corps. Further, he is interested in personality development and language skills development to heighten the ability to develop himself.

Nadeesha Dilhan

Nadeesha Dilhan is a  Training Facilitator of the International Youth Alliance for Peace, representing the Ampara district. He is an undergraduate at the University of Kelaniya, following International Studies for major. His vision is to create a peaceful and prosperous future. He believes that the youth generation can do it as emerging leaders of the country. He is interested in working with youth and participate in social and environmental works.
