Choice & Respect

Introduction

The first “Choice & Respect” workshop in partnership with FPA Sri Lanka was conducted for the students at the Social Sciences Department, University of Kelaniya on the 13th of November 2017. The second workshop was conducted in Batticaloa while the third and the fourth Workshops were conducted in Trincomalee. These workshops are done in different phases in order to make the participants aware of the responsible decisions about sexuality and how to develop healthy relationships in relation to sexuality while protecting the physical, mental and social well-being of themselves and others.

Aim

This project aimed to make young people understand the term sexuality, the physiology of male and female reproductive systems, the existence of sexual diversity, and the need to value the sexuality of others while protecting human rights. The project addressed timely and significant issues that are being faced by the youth.
